It is CRAZY how things have changed with cellular phone accessory distribution. In 2010 there were over 350 National and Regional cellular phone accessory distributors registered in the United States.
Today, there are less than 100. Tessco was one such large distributor that was the latest victim of consolidation and competition from online shopping direct sites from China and Amazon. Myvoicecomm.com is now the owner of Tessco's retail division according to Derek Weiss. I worked with Derek back in 2006-2008 as a wholesaler online and they handled my drop shipping program for MBAWholesale.com, a website dedicated to selling the MyBat Brand Products.
Companies that are now gone are:
Mobileline.com, Technocel, Brightpoint, TriG, Dream Wireless, MBAWholesale.com, Almax,
Below is the announcement.
